John's Campaign Rights For Residents I knew the government would deprive my Dad of his life’s savings, I never dreamed they would deprive him of us too 🥲

2 days earlier, I was trying to stay 2m away from my mum at my dad’s burial after he died of Covid (no funeral as churches were closed). However, I had to hold her up when her legs buckled with the sheer upset. Just mum and I buried him. We had neither cheese nor wine.

Imagine that you couldn’t attend the funeral of someone you loved and then you see the Deputy Prime Minister defending Downing Street drinks because *they’d* had a gruelling day?! To those of you who don’t have to imagine I am truly sorry. The PM is a disgrace.

Dominic Raab defended this picture because they were "having a drink after the formal business has been done". In that same lockdown a care worker who had just finished her shift was fined £200 for sitting alone in her car at a local beauty spot.
