Mairead Winters EU Just Transition Tourism Activator is hosting a Webinar on Monday May 13th, where she will discuss the potential funding available under the EU JTF Regenerative Tourism for Ireland’s Midlands 2023-2026 Investment Grant Aid Scheme for SMEs & Community groups.

Dating back to medieval times, Carrick-on-Suir was one of seven walled towns in Tipperary, originally located on the northern banks of the River Suir. These days, the town straddles both sides of the river and only a few sections of the town walls remain, including the West Gate.

The public are invited to experience Field Exchange by joining and participating in Festival - Creative Agriculture for Thriving Communities - on Brookfield Farm 31st Aug - 1st Sept 2024 will showcase the Field Exchanges learnings.

Rathcabbin is located in north Tipperary, between the towns of Portumna, Co. Galway & Birr, Co. Offaly. The parish church, which was built in 1984 and has a unique circular design, is a focal point in the village along with Kelly's Bar and shop, located on the opposite side.

The Annual Lingaun Valley Car Treasure Hunt takes place on Easter Monday. This years route takes in Carrick-on-Suir, Piltown and Owning. Cars go out from 2pm to 3pm and you can choose your starting place of the Library Car Park in Carrick or the The Marian Hall in Owning.

Tipperary Town welcomed the Marching Mizzou Band from the USA to join the CJ Kickham Brass and Reed Band as part of the Saint Patrick’s Festival celebrations at the weekend. Some atmosphere was enjoyed by participants and spectators alike!

The Clare Glens are a wooded area with a path up the red sandstone gorge separated by the banks of the Clare River, which separates Counties Tipperary & Limerick.
The scenery is breath-taking, with wild dense forest combined with the calm rushing of the crystal-clear waters.
