INCLEMENT WEATHER REFUSE COLLECTION INFORMATION FOR VINTON: If you normally place your refuse cart in the alley for collection, this week please move it to the street for collection. If you are unable to place your cart at the street, we may be unable to collect it this week.

Vinton offices will be closed in observance of Presidents' Day on Monday, February 17, 2025. Refuse, Bulk, and Recycling Collection will run on a delayed schedule next week. Monday's and Tuesday's refuse, bulk, and recycling routes will be collected on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM WEDS, TO 1 PM EST THURS. FOR THE VINTON AREA. Snow expected with total accumulations bet. 2 to 4 inches. Hazardous road conditions could impact the Wednesday morning and evening commutes. Slow down and use caution while traveling.

In anticipation of the incoming winter weather, Town of Vinton offices will be closed to the public on Weds., 2/19/25. Staff will be available remotely to assist you via telephone. Please check this page for updates on refuse pickup schedules and additional info. on the storm.

Notice of Temporary Closure: The portion of Wolf Creek Greenway between the Town of Vinton and Roanoke County at the culvert under Washington Avenue will be closed on 4/9/25, from approx. 8 am to 3 pm, for maintenance. Please avoid using that portion of the Greenway at that time.
