Village Arborist Joe Umana and his crew planted beautiful lilacs along the brick walls at the Nassau Blvd Train Station, after DPW washed the bricks to remove lime wash. Big thank you to DPW and Parks & Rec for their dedication to beautifying our Village, one step at a time.

Garden City Police are participating in the Buckle-Up New York enforcement initiative May 19-June 1. The statewide campaign focuses on enforcing seat belts and child restraint laws. During the two-week initiative, officers will conduct highly visible patrols and checkpoints.

As the saying goes, “it takes a Village.” This is evident on Seventh Street today with all hands on deck to prep Garden City’s downtown for Memorial Day, the highly anticipated return of the Belmont Festival and the long days of summer.
