This was the first time the National Farm to School Network attended the CA Academy of Nutr conference. We provided info at a booth on NFSN and encouraged RDN’s and DI’s to become members. Happy Father’s Day. One of hardest and kindest man I know. I was told by many that he could do the work of 2 or more men. He is also the kindest man I know. Still works at 85 helping elderly with plumbing needs, often not charging them or accepts little if they insist.

Heading to DC for a couple of days of meetings on behalf of National Farm to School Network. It will be quick trip this time around.

Attended listening session as National Farm to School Network rep, Envisioning the Future for Children Together, held in DC by Kellogg Foundation. I felt that this event was my future after spending over 3 decades advocating for healthier meals w/out the support of many health allied orgs.
