Professor Victoria J Palmer (she/her) andrew thompson Thank you, this is brilliantly holistic, and humane - and addressing the power of policy, something sorely needed here in the UK too! I'll carry what I'm learning here into a new priority-setting focus - thank you.

I just a read a supposed Start of the Art Review on Experience Based Co-Design with not one reference to any of the work undertaken by my team in this space.

I find that an interesting omission since UK mental health studies were noted in this...

“If the priorities of people with lived-experience of mental ill-health… were driving research…quality of care, improvements in MH service delivery attending to social issues & social determinants, peer models of care & improving experiences of care would be funded”

Like all things undertaken in ALIVE National Centre for Mental Health Research this benefited from the incredible research experience brought by Prof Michelle Banfield Amelia Gulliver and the super support from Dana Jazayeri it was a part of roadmap blueprint activities and its friend was the 'plandemic' presso Kerry Hawkins

Our paper reviewing mental health research priorities since 2011 was published today. Have a read for more reasons to ensure the priorities of people most impacted are addressed in mental health, suicide prevention and well-being initiatives.

'However, research suggests that 'how' (it's done) is more important than 'what' (the design is)' - now that would be a relational approach to research design!

Nice summary Jon Glasby key message that even though orgs like these two large scale initiatives may not always get it right too - they are essential in the new ways for doing. More of the same hasn't worked and is not working.
