MEMORY 🔸This artwork is an exploration of memory through the lens of nature, technology and spirituality. The work brings together the past, present and future, demonstrating how information is formed, accumulated and erased, leaving its mark on the mind and the world. 🔸is now

Personal particle accelerator, 2015, oil on canvas. A painting a did back in 2015 that started the Human Extension series in which I explored the relationship between man and machine. One of the inspirations for this painting was the song from Shpongle, the god particle.

Purgatory Glitch, 2023, oil on linen, 140x80cm “Death, destroyer of words, in preparation.” A painting that I wanted to be a part of a triptych, together with Hellish and Heavenly Glitch, but ended up to being alone. Now in my possession, a constant reminder of my nipples.

Oil painting: Special Apparatus for Cheap High Pleasure, from 2015. Animated with adobe after effects and a bit of blender. For the animation I replaced the bath salts with bitcoin.

This is just the first layer. I went directly into colour with this one. Usually I use a monochrome Underpainting but since this is such a small painting, controlling color and value is much easier. After “drying” I’ll smooth and go into details. I used alkyd medium for this.

I’ve been recently cooking some very small paintings. I wanted to build up the artwork from scratch, from the support itself, to painting and up to the wood frame. I opted for aluminium as support because it’s very resilient if prepared correctly and relatively accessible.

Experimenting with Golden Open Acrylics. Its very different approach to my usual oil painting. It’s all about layering and glazing. I enjoy the building process, almost all the work is done directly on the final piece of paper from imagination, with no separate sketch.
