Since 2015, #WAAW has brought the world together to confront AMR. This year’s World Health Organization (WHO) theme: “Act Now: Protect Our Present, Secure Our Future” is a reminder that microbes evolve faster than our defenses. Dive deeper in @join_MicroDAO latest Substack. Link: shorturl.at/VmfjF

In 2019, Ella faced the most severe drug-resistant infection she had ever experienced. Stories like Ella’s are becoming more common, but they rarely make the news. This is why World AMR Awareness Week exists. AMR is here. This #WAAW week, we confront it together with #DeSci.

World AMR Awareness Week has ended, but the fight against AMR hasn't. MicroDAO remains committed to building open, collaborative, and decentralised solutions to keep life-saving medicines effective.

Abysmal service at Delhi Airport - for families with young children. No separate family queues during checkin. I hope atleast th security queues are vetter. Truly not international in standards

I'm excited to share that sign-ups for the closed beta of MicroDAO's pathogen catalogue are now open! We're seeking public health experts, policymakers, pharma execs, and clinicians for a one-stop pathogen intelligence solution. microdao.bio/projects/patho…

We’re opening signups for the Pathogen Catalogue, a new way to organise and access the evidence behind antimicrobial resistance. Built to reduce data friction, preserve hard-won knowledge, and help AMR research move faster. Closed beta opens mid-Jan. ↓

Closing out the year with a reflection on what we’ve been building at MicroDAO. This year was about foundations, not hype: • starting with evidence • reducing friction for AMR work • rethinking how impact gets funded The problems are structural. solutions need to be too

Preventing infections doesn’t start in #DeSci labs. It starts with everyday habits. Clean hands, safe food, fresh air, vaccinations, and staying home when sick reduce infections and the need for antimicrobials slowing antimicrobial resistance. Small actions. Real protection.

1/2 Hygiene: A Powerful Weapon Against AMR Antimicrobial resistance doesn’t start in hospitals alone, it often begins with preventable infections in everyday life. Practicing good hygiene: regular handwashing and proper sanitation reduces the spread of infectious agents.

Solana DeSci (@solanadesci) 's Twitter Profile Photo

MicroDAO This is such an important point. AMR isn’t just a hospital problem, it’s shaped daily by simple behaviors that quietly compound at scale.

MicroDAO (@join_microdao) 's Twitter Profile Photo

AMR isn’t driven by hospitals alone. Industrial and corporate activities play a critical role in accelerating resistance especially through untreated industrial effluents and pharmaceutical wastes. link: shorturl.at/EIOQF

Varun Kothamachu (@varunkothamachu) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Exactly. We can manage the risk of resistance but not eliminate it! Exactly why we need to continue to invest into new solutions for tackling AMR.

What do we know for sure about antiviral resistance? 1️⃣ It already exists 2️⃣ It emerges fastest in immunocompromised patients 3️⃣ Viruses evolve differently from bacteria 4️⃣ Surveillance is weaker than for antibiotics 5️⃣ Prevention matters more than ever 1/2
