50 years ago today, April 8, 1975: Frank Robinson debuted as player-manager of the Cleveland Indians, becoming the first Black manager in MLB history. He inserted himself in the starting lineup as the DH and homered in his first at-bat to lead his team to a 5-3 Opening Day win.
