Day 2 of marching band camp is in the books. A fun and cool day of marching fundamentals and indoor music rehearsal! Chris Corrie #isdstrong

Day 3. Done. Over halfway through camp! We had another beautiful morning reviewing our marching fundamentals. In the afternoon we added “war” a popular stand tune and continued our work on the fight song and the halftime show. #isdmusic #isdstrong

Day 4 the rainout day. Today started with rain. We elected to stay dry and stayed inside and worked on memorization. We also had a mini performance for our incoming freshman. Tomorrow we finish up band camp. We will be outside setting as much drill as we can!

Day 5 The one were we set drill. Today we set the drill for our the intro and part 1 of our halftime show. We took advantage of the nice weather and were outside in the morning and afternoon. We also moved all our keyboards and sound equipment to the press box for fall storage.

Over the summer, the Nowlin Middle School music rooms were remodeled. These are our 7th and 8th grade band students checking out the renovated band room for the first time! A huge thanks for the ISD and our Nowlin administration for the continued support in the performing arts

It’s been a productive week for the Falcon Regiment, we put the intro to our show on the field and are looking forward to working on part 1 next week. On Wednesday 8/28 we will have our parent preview performance at 8pm on the Van Horn Football Field.

Wednesday Night is typically our night rehearsal. This past Wednesday we had our parent preview, where we perform part of our show and teach our parents how to march. Enjoy a short video of that fun evening.

Our first football game happened to also be senior night! I’ll tell you what. It was blast we won 69-6 and got to honor our seniors during pregame. We also tested out our new pre game set. We are setting up on the field and forming a tunnel for football team to run through.

It was a massive Saturday for the Falcon Regiment at the UCM Bands Festival of Champions. Congrats on making finals for the first time and eating the mountain of snacks we got for the competition. Our final competition is Oct 19th in Harrisonville, MO
