as a result of today's microsoft layoffs, much of warcraft rumble's team is being let go – around 100 employees, some who've spoken to aftermath say – and the game will no longer receive new content. other blizzard departments affected include customer service and marketing

When I went to Blizzard in February, they had a little museum that changes out from time to time. Warcraft Rumble was the focus at the time, and there were amazing artist drawings and fan mail hung up in there. Feel so bad for that team making something they cared about.

someone in my mentions cited deadspin as evidence that kotaku writers are in trouble now, apparently having never heard of defector, one of the most successful recent ventures in all of media and proof of just how high writers can fly when freed from g/o’s shackles

CWA, the union that represents thousands of games workers across microsoft, once boasted a mutually beneficial relationship with the company. to say that relationship has deteriorated over the years is probably an understatement

buy now pay later is a predatory scheme – another means of luring desperate people into debt – and games are worse for including it even as an option

umamusume is, by many measures, already one of the most popular horse games ever. except… it’s not really about horses. this has left gaming’s premiere horse consultant and advocate, Alice Ruppert 🐴🎮, in a bind
