An emotional Maguiresbridge at a standstill this lunchtime as a service of removal takes place for Vanessa Whyte, and her children, Sara and James Rutledge. The mother and her children were shot dead in their home in this town last week. Belfast Telegraph

Neighbours lined the streets. Friends held hands. Clergy of all faiths stood side by side. In a Catholic church, a Protestant bishop lit candles. Soccer and GAA teams gathered. Fermanagh stood united for Vanessa Whyte and her children James and Sara. Love crossed every boundary.

A guiding light in moments of darkness and despair. A special man to so many.

There are no words to explain the grief engulfing our community at the moment. Yet, we must find them and try our best to report them. Thinking of everyone who is despairing following the events of last week. The Impartial Reporter
