We're taking on the Solar Decathlon Design challenge again this spring, once more proposing that high-performance building is not only compatible with a historic context, but uniquely appropriate. 11 students, 1 project.

Meet Dani Juarez, a Virginia Tech Architecture master’s student at VT_WAAC. With an arts background, she’s passionate about hands-on making in her architecture work and creates her own materials from scratch including paper, clay, graphite, charcoal, ink, and watercolor. 🖼️

Wonderful evening at the AIA|DC for the 2nd Annual Student Showcase. The team from VT_WAAC presented their SolarDecathlon Design Challenge proposal for much-needed housing for Virginia Tech students in the DC area. Joined by Catholic University School of Architecture University of the District of Columbia (UDC) Howard University and @UMd.
