The Virginia State University campus is different. Still as beautiful as ever, but missing the important part, the people. The faculty, staff and most importantly the students. (1/5)

I want to thank the faculty, staff and students in moving and adjusting to remote instruction. This was an incredible lift and while the transition has not been perfect, I'm proud of the commitment that everyone has shown in this difficult time. (2/5)

We are open, but very few people here. Most faculty and staff are working from home and those who are here are practicing social distancing. All of our students have left or will be gone by tomorrow. I am happy that in this time that we are surrounded by our loved ones. (3/5)

If there is a silver lining in this crisis it is the time we will spend with those closest to us. (4/5)

We will be back. We will have commencement (we just don't know when yet). We will have homecoming. Our campus will be full of vibrant energy, the spirit of youth and dreams and excitement. And we will appreciate it more, because we will remember when it was taken away. (5/5)
