The first Vancouver Police #StrathconaBikeSmart program has started! The kids are currently getting their free #BikeSafety equipment courtesy of Vancouver Police Foundation! Then VPD Bikes will teach them some skills, before VPD Traffic Section teach them about rules of the road. Gonna be a great day!

Multiple people are in hospital with serious injuries, including an armed suspect who was shot by #VPD officers in the 900 block of Granville Street late last evening. More information will be released when it is available. There is no risk to public safety at this time.

Signs signs everywhere a sign! Over the last few weeks VPD Bikes has frequently patrolled areas on the seawall that are clearly marked ‘no bikes.’ Lots of tourists following the sidewalk signs that appear to make it ok. #nowtheyknow
