In our recent paper (w\@HBpasandi and Christian Timmerer ), we investigated the impact of adding a new dimension, i.e., upscaling method, to the bitrate ladder optimization. We show that the proposed per-title encoding results in a 24% bitrate and 53% storage reduction.
