Our The Sanghani Center at Virginia Tech alums continue to make us proud. Anika Tabassum presented her work AI for Science during #NeurlPS2022 conference. Collaborators included another alum Nikhil Muralidhar. In addition to their Ph.D.s Virginia Tech Computer Science, both also earned the Urban Computing @ VT graduate certificate.

Virginia Tech AI & ML expert Naren Ramakrishnan works to solve municipal problems in the DC area by developing data science methods for school redistricting, disease forecasting, & traffic ridership prediction through an NSF Urban Computing @ VT grant. Several years ago Ph.D. students in the Urban Computing @ VT program began research to help schools with redistricting. It is still going strong!
