Excited to begin my new position as a Formas, ett forskningsråd för hållbar utveckling. research fellow today! I will study the potential of #floodplain reconnection and #StageZero #riverrestoration in the UK, Sweden and USA. A new direction, new collaborators and many new ideas! Interested? Get in touch!

The power of biology slowly taking over the Total Environment Simulator this #FlumeFriday - get out while you can! On #WorldWaterDay2023 we are hosting experiments by Richard Mason Rivers up the creek working with Energy and Environment Institute to model incision in rivers with & without vegetation! We've grown lots of cress 🌱and designed channels which cut down & lower their base level. Watch out for exciting results!

This #FlumeFriday we are watching some interesting landforms evolving in the vegetated flume Here are some close up shots of bank erosion resulting from base level lowering and #flooding Formas, ett forskningsråd för hållbar utveckling.
