congratulations Dr Spiteri who passed his PhD viva today with a thesis on Higgs measurements at the ATLAS Experiment! As it was all remote, here's a picture from last year of him in a live link with other Gla particle physics students at #CERN for IOPScotland's Festival of Physics!

Lectureship in Flavour Physics on LHCb Experiment at UofG PhysAstro - application deadline 11th February: inspirehep.net/jobs/1841225
Exciting news: we have a new Lectureship in Theoretical Particle Physics at UofG PhysAstro . Application deadline Jul 21. inspirehep.net/jobs/1869147
Anton Muscatelli indeed it's very exciting, and Gla particle physics UofG PhysAstro has been part of the CDF experiment for more than 20 years. Checking this aspect of the standard model's internal consistency has only been possible after the Higgs boson discovery!
Great turnout from UofG PhysAstro past and present at last night's ISMD conferences ceilidh! Gla particle physics and Nuclear and Hadron Physics Glasgow combining forces for some high energy interactions on the dance floor! #ISMD2022
Congratulations to our latest UofG PhysAstro LHCb Experiment doctor-in-waiting, @DanaLikesQuarks (and supervisors Lars Eklund and Paul Soler), after an epic viva exam and a mighty tome of a thesis. Thanks to examiners Victoria Martin & Andy Buckley (@[email protected])
