'I am mayor of the City of New York today because human services workers were there to support my family when we needed it most.”
Thank you Mayor Eric Adams for investing in human services workers! Your historic investment is critical for our communities.

Thank you Adrienne Adams for recognizing that human services workers are essential & must be paid fairly, that nonprofit service providers must be paid on time, and that the systems that serve NYers in need must be made easier to access! #MovingForwardTogether
We’re glad Governor Kathy Hochul supports a COLA for State-contracted human services workers, but 1.5% is not #JustPay . Human services workers deserve more for their essential work, and our communities deserve fully staffed programs. We need a 3.2% COLA now! #FundTheCOLA
Our teams are fired up to advocate for #JustPay in Albany today! State-contracted human services workers are essential to achieving Governor Kathy Hochul’s vision for New York. We need her to give them #JustPay and #FundTheCOLA !

3.9M New Yorkers with limited English proficiency or without a high school diploma need adult education. We call on Governor Kathy Hochul , Sen. Stewart-Cousins , and Carl E. Heastie to invest $27.9 million in FY25 to support Adult Literacy Education (ALE) funding. #LiteracyLiftsNY NYCCAL
Our Adult Literacy Program serves New Yorkers from all 5 boroughs who travel to study with US. NYC needs to fund these programs in a way that effectively supports institutions doing the work. Thx to NYC Council Member Carlina Rivera + Christopher Marte for signing Council Member Julie Won 's vital open letter.
