UMES Young Scholars kicked off an exploration in LEGO Spike robotics this week! They worked collaboratively to build and code carnival rides and high tech playground equipment. Students developed their communication skills as they built, coded and debugged their creations!

It was great to see so many families attend morning meeting and our principals’ coffee this morning. Families engaged in conversations and learned strategies on how to support big feelings their children may experience.

Thank you to all the Union Mill students and families who attended The Kids Heart Challenge this evening. Over 300 students attended and UMES raised over $25,000 for the American Heart Association!

This evenings Kids Heart Challenge could not have happened without the support of our amazing UMES staff volunteers and Mrs. Murray! Thank you!
