We have enjoyed reading about tigers this week. We found tigers in Grandma's garden.

We have learned about alliteration and we wrote a list of 't' verbs that you should never do to a tiger.

To celebrate World Book Day we came to school dressed as our favourite book characters, we watched authors online and created a 'Wally Hunt'

P3/4 baked wonderful lemon cupcakes for cafe this afternoon and P1/2 have ended the week by inviting an animal to tea.

During gymnastics we were learning to jump from a vault and land with control. We were quite skilled at this.

We are so lucky to have had smartboards fitted in our gym hall and the green classroom. Many thanks to our Parent Council

We have been investigating static electricity. We were excited about wearing safety goggles.

We made electrical circuits and made a bulb light up and a buzzer sound! We can stop these things from happening when we add a switch.

P5-7 had a very successful afternoon planting 60 trees in a record 60 minutes!

P1/2 predicted what might be growing below the daffodils in our school grounds. Mr Bell dug up some so we could check. Amazing roots!

After Church we went back to school for a Daffodil Tea in aid of #MarieCurie. P1/2 & Mrs Orus presented the daffodils beautifully.

We have been revising the long vowel sound ai. We read 'The snail and the whale' This made us very curious about whales.

We went on to retell the story of 'The snail and the whale' using the OHP, plasticine and Lego.

We read for information about whales in books, on websites - DK Find out and Tig Tag on Glow and we drew labelled diagrams.

P1/2 will be learning about money this term. The P2s worked together to set up the fruit, flower and vegetable shop. It just needs a name.

This week P1/2 have been developing their understanding of subtraction with Mrs Delahunty. They have been working on writing a whale report.
