Arizona's attorney general has already decried the ruling and previously said she wouldn't enforce it. Even if that remains true it doesn't necessarily mean providers will feel safe continuing to provide abortion care

The law is still stayed for 14 more days, and the court ruled only that it *can* be enforced. Unclear what enforcement may look like, but regardless of the answer to that question it will lead to fear and confusion among patients and providers

Devastated. I had an abortion in Arizona at 19 years old. My first month of college. To know all the young women moving out there will be held to 1860s ideals, stripping them of bodily autonomy, and to know I got to avoid it by being older- that’s not how things should be.

BREAKING: Arizona Supreme Court rules to uphold the state’s 1864 near total abortion ban, which will wipe out nearly all access in the state (currently up to 15 weeks). Voters will likely have the chance to override this ban in November via ballot initiative.

Just like FL, Abortion Fund of Arizona + neighboring funds will spend the next few months scrambling to get AZ abortion seekers care, even if a ballot measure is successful.
