Congratulations to Qingzhang Zhu for the publication of his paper in Nature Metabolism. He defines the role of PAQR4 as a cellular ceramide sensor in adipocytes, critically regulating the levels of these pro-apoptotic, inflammatory and insulin-resistance causing lipids.

The data describes a new dodecameric seipin complex in mammals,
