Congrats to Ophthalmology Chair J William Harbour MD on receiving the Leslie Dana Gold Medal award from the St. Louis Society for the Blind and Visually Impaired! Dr. Harbour will be honored for his work tomorrow evening during the organization's "Visionary Gala" event.👏👏

Join us in welcoming glaucoma specialist Rebecca Iris Chen, M.D., to the department! Most recently with the Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Science at UC Davis, Dr. Chen completed her fellowship training in glaucoma at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute.


The Retina World Congress annual meeting starts later this week in Fort Lauderdale. Chair J William Harbour MD and Vice Chair of Education Judy Kim, M.D., will present and moderate during this event on topics including uveal melanoma and diabetic macular edema.






This past weekend, J William Harbour MD was in Fort Lauderdale, FL for the annual Retina World Congress meeting. His presentation: Game-changing Pharmacologic Therapies for Uveal Melanoma.


Congrats to Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology Jui-Kai (Ray) Wang, PhD on receiving a highly competitive Y5 Pilot Grant from UTSW CTSA Program! Dr. Wang's research will focus on "Oculomics: Visualizing Health Through Multimodal Retinal Biomarkers for Ocular and Systemic Diseases." 👏🥳
