Rest in peace, Dr. Kaye Wilkins, father of pediatric fracture care. A dedicated, humble, and selfless leader, who delivered world-class care to children from all over the world for many decades. You will be missed.

A post to honor my great friend and Mentor, Kaye Wilkins. Kaye graduated from the UTSW Orthopaedic Surgery program and then did pediatric fellowship at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) . He trained countless residents at UT Health San Antonio Orthopaedic Residency , and was instrumental in the formation of POSNA .

This dude is one of the best PDs in the Ortho world. Knows how and where to invest his time (and with whom). Also might be the strongest PD if you’re in to that sort of thing.
