What makes Burgess Shale fossils so special?   The fossils are so well preserved that many of their soft tissue remain visible. We can see eyeballs, guts and (in some cases) even their last dinner!   Learn more: bit.ly/3i6BaAr

Big reveal a few months in the making! If you stop by the USask Museum of Natural Sciences in the USask Geological Sciences building, you’ll see new signage accompanying the dinosaurs in the lobby…. with paleoart created by yours truly!

It's a neat discovery by University of Saskatchewan students Kaitlin and Jack who are doing palaeontology research with us. While searching for crocodile fossils near Estevan, they found amber in one of the coal seams.
