If you're heading to the coast this weekend, remember to give more than enough distance between you and the ocean. It can be nearly impossible to outrun a sneaker wave. And, never turn your back to the ocean!

Large breaking waves along the Pacific Coast will create dangerous conditions in the surf zone. Destructive waves may wash over beaches and jetties, and people can be swept away by large waves. Never turn your back on the ocean!
