Congratulations to Jose Godinez for winning a DOE U.S. Department of Energy award to spend three months at the SLAC. He will be working with Dr. Ruaridh Forbes and Dr. Matt Bain, generating extremely short UV pulses using fiber sources. He plans to apply this ~ 10fs light to DNA photophysics.
It was so fun to celebrate the accomplishments of the USC Chemistry department at the 50th annual Stauffer Lecture and Banquet! Awesome lecture by Prof. Benjamin List. Big congrats to Angelyn, Shelby and Kai for receiving awards tonight!
Hard to believe, but my USC chapter has come to an end. It has been an incredible journey, and I couldn't be more grateful to Fokin Lab USC and Agilent Technologies for their support. Thank you USC Chemistry and USC Bridge Institute for making me a proud Trojan alumnus! #FightOn ✌️
