Today, we met with PIs/research grant winners from University of Rwanda, who are leading 46 multidisciplinary research projects. They are pivotal in contributing to UR research culture. Findings are expected to inform policy & provide evidences for #Rwanda 's socio-economic transformation
The Annual Dialogue concluded on a positive note thanks to the involvement of Sweden in Rwanda as well as Team Leaders from both University of Rwanda and Swedish partner universities. Together, we are embarking on a transformative journey that promises significant impact
We're also joined by Martina from Sweden in Rwanda. She emphasized the significance of the Program; highlighting its alignment with Rwandan needs in both gov't & private sector. She stressed the importance of bridging the connection between research, policy & decision-making processes
As we conclude the Annual Dialogue, DVC Ray Ndikumana, PhD, SCPM commended the catalytic role the Programme has played for University of Rwanda and #Rwanda in various aspects. He emphasized the importance of documenting the remarkable achievements the program has accomplished over the past 20 years.
The Annual Dialogue 2nd day started with the Senior Research Coordinator's opening address, charting the course for various activities. Teamleaders of 17 research subprograms from University of Rwanda & Swedish universities discuss achievements while outlining key activities for 2024-2025

The Unity & Reconciliation Initiative, spearheaded by Prison Fellowship Rwanda, emphasized the crucial support of Sida, mainly in the fields of mental health & psychology. This assistance is aiding youth in processing past events and contributing to the shaping of a better #Rwanda . #Kwibuka30
On the occasion, participants, comprising over 50 researchers from universities in #Sweden & University of Rwanda also visited the Unity & Reconciliation Village in Bugesera. They witnessed powerful testimonies of genocide survivors & reconciled perpetrators living in harmony. #Kwibuka30
The 2024 Annual Dialogue Meeting started today with a visit to the Nyamata Genocide Memorial, where over 10,000 Tutsis were killed during 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. In this visit, participants paid tribute to the genocide victims by laying a wreath in their honor #Kwibuka30
'Companionapp'Companion Rwanda is one of innovation projects in #HealthTech implemented under the University of Rwanda Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship(UR-CIE) using fund from UR Sweden Programme. The project team is led by our UR graduate in Medicine, Ms Dr Muhire Claudia from College of Medicine
The University of Rwanda joins Rwandans and the rest of the world for the 30th commemoration of the Genocide against the Tutsi. We honour the lives lost, stand with survivors, and reaffirm our commitment to never forget.

They were joined by senior officials from UR_Huye campus to discuss potential partnership areas such as research, science comm, as well as library & info science

Mr. Emmanuel MUTABAZI Emmanuel Mutabazi, our graduate University of Rwanda UR- CASS has been leading “MUTWARE KID” an innovation project aims to provide better education to schoolchildren using different educational toys and digital technologies.
