As harvest approaches fast, don't forget to get grainstores cleaned. Talisma EC gives a wide spectrum of efficacy on grainstore pests including mites. When you don't know how long you'll be storing grain for,the best insurance policy is a product with optimum persistency.

With hot weather forecast this week, don't forget that maleic hydrazide relies on open stomata to be most effective and can cause damage when applied at temperatures above 26 degrees. Choose your Fazor spray timings wisely to get the best out of the active. #FazeOutTheCompetition

Protecting beneficials by using biological insecticides such as Carpovirusine, and providing insect refuges such as these, is a perfect way to implement IPM in orchards. #OpenAg AgrovistaUK Fruit

Considering variety choice and ordering seed? With many crops this autumn being drilled after fallow, there is likely increased pressue from soil borne pests such as wireworm & bulb fly. Whatever the variety, ensure it is treated approppriately. #Signal300 #ZoneOfProtection

As drills emerge from the shed we have to ensure OSR is given a fighting chance. Biological seed treatments can help, SYLAS-ST speeds up germination &improves water mangement in the plant. Giving some reassurance if moisture levels are variable. Dalton Seeds Openfield: More than just grain. #OpenAg

With rain stopping play for many, the decision to drill oilseed rape is playing on many peoples mind. Team Technical's Rob Adamson discusses the challenge we face and how to give the crop a fighting chance using biolologicals. upl-ltd.com/uk/news-detail… #OpenAg

Rain is flushing cereal volunteers in established OSR crops. Don't to forget these should be controlled prior to an application of #CenturionMax in order to optimise blackgrass control. Panarex or Rango is the perfect choice to stop these cereal volunteers from competing. #OpenAg

We've had reports of grain contamination with #ergot, favoured by cool, wet conditions at flowering of later sown crops. If home-saving seed, ensure it's treated with an azole seed treatment such as #RanconaiMIX to aid control by reducing germination of sclerotia after drilling.

Really interesting work from AHDB Potatoes showing how important #FAZOR is as the starting point for sprout control. Orange oil is an exciting in-store option Team Technical are working on as our post CIPC strategy, currently registered in Ireland. #OpenAg

Team Technical’s herbicide lead Rob Adamson was in some rather large OSR yesterday. At 5 true leaves already, #CenturionMax should be applied sooner rather than later to early drilled and rapidly growing crops like these. Remember to follow the #clethodimstewardship.

With high #WBF egg counts recorded at some ADAS monitoring sites in East Anglia, Signal 300EC will be a key tool in managing this pest. Don't forget second wheats following gappy wheat crops can also be under threat. #OpenAg

Early drilling & mild weather means crops are at risk from both #blackgrass & #BYDV. If Tsum is reached an insecticide appliction should be considered with a post emergence herbicide. Top-ups should contain an alternative MOA such as ethofumesate to best manage resistance.#XERTON

We haven't seen this type of forecast for a while! A long awaited dry spell ahead will hopefully give some a chance to pursue incomplete weed control. Though be careful with frosts. @UPL_UK
