Regional Director Asia-Pacific United Nations #DCO , David McLachlan-Karr undertook a wide-ranging official visit to India recently, accompanied by Shombi Sharp #UNRC 🇮🇳.

He met Dr Suman K. Bery VC NITI Aayog & Sr advisor Dr Yogesh Suri & learned about India's innovative model of SDG localisation.

Mr McLachlan-Karr met V Radha, Additional Secretary NITI Aayog & viewed the Vikasit Bharat Strategy Room, an interactive NITI for States Platform that enables digital transformation of governance through sharing of best practices & visualises data for planning & policy decisions.

David McLachlan-Karr met Secretary West Randhir Jaiswal Pavan Kapoor & discussed 🇮🇳's critical role in achieving the #SDGs at home and abroad, helping other countries through South-South cooperation in partnership with #TeamUNIndia & as a pillar of multilateralism, including #G20 & the 🇺🇳

David McLachlan-Karr @UNDCO, Asia-Pacific attended FICCI's 8th International Sustainability Conclave & spoke about women as drivers of economic growth & #SDGs . He highlighted the role of public-private partnership in sustainable development, Digital Public Infrastructure & RE.
