While we didn’t win the #ArmyNavy game, the U.S. Navy & U.S. Marines scored 20 new Sailor & Marine Recruits — thank you for choosing to serve our Nation!

I am proud of the talent & skill that our shipyard & industry partners invest into a mighty warship like the future USS Bougainville. These ships make our U.S. Navy & U.S. Marines a potent fighting team, forward-postured across the globe, ready to respond to crisis & disaster.

Today, I commissioned the Navy’s first Flight III Arleigh Burke-class DDG, USS Jack H. Lucas DDG 125, into our fleet. I’m honored to play a part in this Navy milestone.

ITS OFFICIAL. The US colors and commission pendants are flying, which means the USS Jack H. Lucas (DDG 125) is officially part of the U.S. Navy fleet!
