Witnessing History: The Mob Museum was a success in mid-June! Campers had the opportunity to learn about the role of museums and the history of organized crime and visit The Mob Museum. Thank you to The Mob Museum and the hardworking COLA leaders who made it happen!

Clark County Firefighters have contained the fire in the University Gardens shopping center at Maryland Pkwy and Del Mar Street. There is no current threat to UNLV buildings or property. Maryland Pkwy is closed between Harmon Avenue and University Road. Please avoid the area.

We recently hosted our annual Engelstad Scholars Community Partner Training where 25 nonprofits came together to support our students. This day was all about alignment, energy, and shared purpose. Thanks to the staff who put together this event and all those who participated.

At the Southern Nevada Leadership Summit this week, the peer mentor team joined COLA leadership in important conversations with employers and community partners about the future of workforce development for our students. COLA was well represented!

The Dean's Student Advisory Council held its annual fall retreat last Friday. The meeting included breakout sessions and guest speakers who helped members prepare for leading student engagement initiatives this fall.
