Today, on the🇨🇭Swiss National Day, we celebrate the longstanding partnership between UNHCR🇺🇳 &🇨🇭Switzerland that has been instrumental in providing protection & support to refugees in Armenia🇦🇲 & promoting international solidarity thru crucial events such as #GlobalRefugeeForum.

UNHCR's training sessions for Refugee-Led Organisations on #diversity & #inclusion & Protection from Sexual Exploitation & Abuse, gave them essential knowledge to apply in their work w/ #refugees & the opportunity to share their insights & experience & further capacitation needs.

The series of training sessions facilitated by🇺🇳UNHCR & Migration & Citizenship Service for 🇦🇲Unified Social Service staff aimed to enhance social workers' knowledge on refugee protection & integration & ensure refugees' smooth access to Armenia's🇦🇲 social assistance programmes.

Today, Gavar town in🇦🇲Gegharkunik hosts🙋‍♂️#InternationalYouthDay2024 to celebrate the resilience of community & refugee youth, their eagerness to learn, thrive & initiate. The series of IYD events in Gavar include🇺🇳UNHCR Armenia-supported concert by a popular local band 🎸"Nemra".

Today, Perpetua,👧🏻 a refugee girl from Egypt, went to school📚for the first time in her new home,🇦🇲Etchmiadzin. She was so impatient to learn. “I speak Armenian very well; I know the days of the week & the Armenian alphabet!” Perpetua was truly enjoying her new life at school.✏️

These resilient refugees were among participants of 🍇Harvest Festival, a national event held every autumn in Armenia.🇦🇲 Many more refugees will be part of the Festival this year to offer their beautiful handicrafts🏺& traditional 🌮food to the guests of this spectacular event.☀️
