In remote corners of #Afghanistan, help is just a call away. With support from Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, UNFPA’s 24/7 Midwifery Helpline is aiding midwives to manage complicated deliveries with confidence. Since 2024, it has supported 44,000 births—saving lives, one call at a time.

In Afghanistan, because of funding cuts, 6.3 million people will lose access to essential health care, most of them women and girls, including lifesaving maternal health services. Hundreds of health centres operating in remote areas and mobile clinics are being forced to close.

Do you know what’s in the Adolescent Girl Kit? Sanitary pads, soap, shampoo, towel, flashlight, headscarf, comb, toothbrush, detergent, life skills guides and dignity. This year, UNFPA prepositioned 45,000 kits to support adolescent girls in Afghanistan. #MenstrualHygieneDay
