8 medical students from UMass Chan's IR interest group recently participated in a sim hosted by the New England Center for Research (NECSR) with Dr. Anna Kuhn MD, Chris Raskett, and Dr. Mark Epshtein PhD and practiced coiling basilar tip and MCA aneurysms with flow models.

On June 12, Dr. Daniel Alvarez Valero will be presenting Society of Interventional Radiology Annual Meeting 2022 on "Splenic Artery Embolization for Unstable Patients with Acute Splenic Injury" elaborated in collaboration with prior graduation fellows, Dr. Harman and Christopher Zoppo MS4.

We had a very successful sim session with the help of @argonmedicaldevices and Philips. Residents practiced filter placement/retrieval, U/S guided biopsies/drain placement, vascular access, suturing, and fluoroscopic arthrograms on a cadaver!
