National Hazing Awareness Week is Sept. 23-27. In partnership with @stophazing, researchers at the UMaine COEHD work to develop evidence-based approaches to reducing the prevalence and harms of hazing. Stay tuned for an exciting announcement on Monday about this work.

Sixteen years after two #UMaine professors published the landmark National Study of Study Hazing, the report's lead author Elizabeth Allan is launching an updated nationwide survey of college students’ experiences with & perceptions of hazing. Read more: buff.ly/3MUf544

This week, Assistant Professor Melissa Cuba shares her dog Qoya with us for our Friday PAWSitive vibes. Qoya (which means "Queen" in Quechua, an Indigenous language spoken in Peru and by Professor Cuba's family) is a rescue hound mix who loves other dogs and the outdoors.
