It’s getting harder to survive in the working class across all types of labor, and music is no exception. How is it that musicians can either be “starving artists” or Top 40 pop stars doing arena tours, with almost no viable options for being a middle class, working musician?

The proposed rate increases for touring visas are astronomical and unacceptable. This would create a financial barrier for musicians that means only those who have MINIMUM $1650 (with expedited visas up to $2500) can even come to the US on tour. The state of touring is in crisis!
