Writing up my plenary talk for the IAU Symposium 368 proceedings was an opportunity to step back and to think about #machinelearning for #cosmology. Could ‘shallow’ learning be ‘deep’ by incorporating human knowledge? Are we going to see ML ‘killer applications’ in cosmology?

It was a pleasure meeting the Ambassador of Jordan to the UK, HE Manar Dabbas, at a session hosted by @UCL’s Provost. We discussed further cooperation in @DataIntensiveScience, Medicine and other fields.

It is a pleasure to visit the IIAstrophysics in India, and to discuss with its Director Prof. Annapurni Subramaniam and with Prof. Vivek M possible collaborations with @UCL.

CDT DISI Annual Event - 27th April was a brilliant day with a spectacular showcase of our student's work, group projects & industry presentations. We closed the day with drinks and a networking reception to celebrate student's achievements and networking with industry partners.
