Lotta folks on this platform want a state of perpetual lockdowns etc, citing the need to protect society Yet they deride people who mention the need to safeguard institutions such as the rule of law—which protects society from arbitrary power—as selfish fools No civic virtue.

Seven weeks of lockdowns. Military patrolling streets. Yet infection rates continue to rise. This is beyond absurd. It’s illogical and it’s tyrannical. At what point will people get fed up with with perpetual cycles of lockdown? My fear is that too many people never will.

Even one life saved is enough to justify whatever Covid restrictions you’d like and anything less is a “death cult” but also leaving tens of thousands of Americans and our allies in Afghanistan isn’t something we can do much about.
