You lose all credibility as a coach when you base your feelings about a hitters production around who they hit with… They either produce, or they don’t. There are coaches leaving wins on the table because they are caught in their feelings.

One thing that is evident in high school aged travel ball… Drag bunts are generally free hits.

There are high school players whose careers are being derailed when coaches give up on them because the development is too hard. I just talked with a pitcher who is 6’6” and tops out around 80… I’m not a pitching guy, but if I were, I’d be trying to figure out how to get that
