At 1st, Byron Buxton got the game started with a homer again. It is the 1st time since May 6th & 7th of 2021 that the Twins had a leadoff home run in 2-straight games. That was Max Kepler off of Jordan Lyles of Texas and then Kyle Garlic at Detroit off of Tarik Skubal.

Buxton’s Home Run in the 2nd inning gave him his 14th career multi-homer game. This is the 3rd time in his career where Buck homered in both the 1st and 2nd inning of the same game. The last came vs Garett Cole at Target Field vs the Yankees on 6-9-2022. The Twins lost 10-7.
