The later Avatar movies better have the fucking laser array in them. Don't know how powerful it is (don't know the ship mass), but it is *at least* in the double digit petawatt range and can collimate down to ~16 km at half a light year. Like, we fucking need to see this.

Museum: look at all of our historic aircraft. Me: spends most of the time looking at the rocket launched drone powered by a turbocharged chainsaw engine.

Does anyone have a video of the Armadillo engine exploding on the test stand and sending the chamber barrel tumbling towards the camera while launching the nozzle into the back of a pickup truck? Because it lives rent free in my head and I would love a copy.

So, is NASA ever going to announce who won the LTV contact? At this point I'm starting to wonder if they want to cancel it. Seems weird to sit on the car announcement in the midst of all the "hurry up and moon base" talk.
