There is an oasis

Is also in the desert
Qatar, hosting a hord of humanity
Of diverse clans,creeds and culturesthe
Tells us that humanity is one
of same blood,

Mandela, humble and humane
Leaving a lofty legacy
By which life is laced
Mandela, a mass mobilizer
With a mantra:
Freedom for all races
Mandela, the soul of the society
For equity and justice
Mandela, a moral booster
For men and women

STORMS AGAINST OUR SAIL
Storms beset our ship
Yet, it shall be well
The situation may be nervy
Especially as the falcon
Seems deaf to the falconer
Yet, the darkening clouds
Will soon clear off
And it shall be well.

FOR MOTHER
My mother
I cannot love you enough
I say I cannot love you enough
A duty it is to rise each day
In endless honour, love and worship
To your graceful being
On this is the sweet scent of love
Between mother and child.

WINSOME LOOKS OF MOTHER
I like the looks of mum
There her love is found
I chirp, I yell at her
Because mum's care
Is much to admire
A plea for her is :
Let the world, the whole world
Love her
For her sacrifice of love
And an enduring care.
