In line with Access to Information Act 2005 & Public Finance Management Act 2015, Ministry of Finance partnered with Uganda Debt Network, UNICEF, Uganda National Association of the Blind (UNAB) to create #BrailleAudioVersion of Citizens Guide to the Budget so as to bridge the gap in access to information by the visually impaired.

Brendah Khasalamwa, a braille proof reader with Uganda National Association of the blind demonstrating how to use the braille version of the Citizen Guide to the budget.

Together with our Budget Transparency Initiative (BTI) Partners,we shall tomorrow Thursday 4th April,2024 launch the Braille and Audio visual versions of the Citizen's Guide to the Budget FY 2023/24 to cater for people with visual and hearing impairments.
