Tomorrow we mark the anniversary of Anne Boleyn’s death. It is difficult to imagine how she must have been feeling, preparing for her life to draw to an unjust and painful, untimely end. Contemporary accounts describe her meeting her end with poise and dignity

I swapped my red Tudor gown and hood for a rather more modern red ensemble for my mother-in-law’s wedding yesterday. A superb day from start to finish ♥️ 👰🏼‍♀️ 🎩 💍

James Bramley and I filmed this solo voice and lute version of O My Hart by King Henry VIII at the beautifully atmospheric Alnwick Castle in Northumberland where the resident birds gave me a run for my money with their beautiful singing 🥰

Non Tudor view here. Dating back to 18thC, the Painted Hall of the Royal Museums Greenwich is divine! It’s school holidays so a day out with my kids today. We are fortunate enough to live close to Greenwich where there is TONS of Tudor history, even if most of the palace no longer survives

Westminster Hall ♥️ I spent some time here yesterday while visiting the Houses of Parliament. Last time I was here I was paying my respects to our late queen as she lay in state awaiting her funeral. It was a moving experience and I was glad I did it despite the queue!
