The pundits, the media & the political ones, they can’t even give us credit for the role we played. All the technical legal language. There needs to be a cultural shift in their vocabulary. It was disabled women.

Proud of all the conversations I've had, the allies I've made, and the impact that the disabled community has had as a collective. Proud of us doing it the right way. No funding, no slogans, no PR team. Just honest, approachable and kind. #YesNo

Happy #IWD2020 . Remember your disabled sisters who are still underpaid, unrepresented, at higher risk of rape and domestic violence, and even have their kids removed - but who are still often ignored in women’s rights fights. Here’s to all the incredible disabled women.

Really strong manifesto here, using active language to promote the right of disabled women and girls who make up over a quarter of Europe.

Sexism very much part of disability services. Patriarchy thrives in the majority of disability NGOS. Racism, sexism & ableism is my reality. My job is to support all women in the choices they make. “To strive” is insulting & infantilising. Respect for dignity & diversity is lost.
