i want to read more literary criticism. sound, solid critique that engages with any (body of) work beyond the usual surface level reading. criticism that contextualises the work, delves into the nuances, and has firm intellectual grounding.

if we are to learn and appreciate the most fundamental truths of the creative process, we must do the intellectual work required.

everyone who works in publishing should read this essay.
