Half of Gaza’s population is now crammed into Rafah with nowhere to go.

Reports that the Israeli military intends to focus next on Rafah are alarming.

Such an action would exponentially increase what is already a humanitarian nightmare with untold regional consequences.

The official Indian govt handle is now sharing the old preamble without the words ‘secular’ & ‘socialist’ on #RepublicDay .

Now it won’t be long before they bring a new amendment in Parliament to remove these words officially.

Much appreciation to @mahuamoitra for giving me this opportunity to argue the #BilkisCase which has made history for all right minded Indians. The judges have said the Gujarat Government usurped the power. All convicts are directed to return back to prison.

Never forget this Govt saw fit to release these convicts on grounds of “good behaviour” on 🇮🇳 Independence Day.

As difficult as it might appear today, the two-state solution - in line with UN resolutions, international law and previous agreements - is the only path to sustainable peace.

Any suggestion otherwise denies human rights, dignity and hope to the Palestinian people.

Instead of standing by our elite athletes,who demanded for justice and a safe environment to continue wrestling;they’ve yet again sided with a man who’s been credibly abused by multiple women of sexual harassment. Same disgrace of a man who’s bragged about killing someone.

Leaders in the global north that aren’t calling for ceasefire should denounce claims of being custodians of democracy & human rights.
No justification merits ignoring calls of the innocent civilians in Gaza, the UN, WHO, multiple IOs all united in their pleas for this to stop.
